Ian (my youngest) was born with PAT...Paroxymal Atrial Tachycardia. He had a major attack when he was just 6 weeks old! And, he was on meds untill he was about 15. Then, he had surgery in Birmingham. They called it an ablation. They go in and burn away the offending tissue. He had to have the operation done the second time. He still has flare ups from time to time...but he is on no meds and does just fine. Most people can get along very well with medication.
