Day by day.....Friday Fragments

I don't seem to have much luck with scheduled posts, but I'm going to try again with this Friday Fragments post.  We'll see if I have to push publish tomorrow morning.

Note.....nope, it didn't publish.  I have no idea what I'm doing wrong....

But however this post gets published, please go on over to Mrs. 4444's and join in Friday Fragments.

Life seems to be flying by at the speed of light.....maybe faster!

I have lots of these pictures to show...

Please don't tell him there will be no candy at Nana's this year and that our porch light will be o.f.f.

Catch me, daddy!

Pappy's cool guy

In the shade, glasses on my head

We visited with this little one and his parents last weekend......cuteness.  Charley loves his sunglasses!  And his halloweeen monkey costume.

Favorite dog shaming photo......I sleep on my daddy's pillows after he leaves for work.  It's against the rules and I know it....can't seem to help myself.

And now for my favorite photo of the week!

My mama walking!!!!

That's right....physical therapy has started and mama is up and walking for the first time in about two years!  I am over the moon......mama?  Not so much!

During this session, every time the therapist would ask mama how she was feeling, mama would say not good and I would say you feel good!!!!  You feel good!!!  Mama would cut her eyes over to the therapist and say....I think Nancy feels good!  To say mama's resistant is an understatement.  She seems content to sit without moving all day every day.  She even sleeps in her recliner which she should not do, but she's very stubborn!

My hope and prayer is that she catches the excitement of being up and on her own two feet.  Of course, when I say she's walking, she could not walk by herself.  Mama's legs have gotten weak to the point of almost being like noodles.  I just know that with enough therapy and encouragement, she just might like a little more independence.

Did you watch the debates?

Tonight I'm going to paint with my friend.  Not another Van Gogh this time though, a pumpkin for the Fall season!!!!  I know you'll be waiting to see my art.....and I use that term loosely.

Oh, I almost forgot!!  The Superhero bought me an Ipad!  Yes, I really like it, although I haven't conquered it yet, and who am I kidding, I haven't conquered my laptop either!
While he was at the store, he called and asked what color cover I wanted.  He named over the colors and I jumped on lime green...why?  so I can find the ipad!

And one last thing.....I sometimes end sentences with prepositions.  I do that on purpose....sometimes you just gotta break the rules

So stay tuned and have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday, Grandson #1

I give thanks to my God always for you..... 1 Corinthians 1:4a

Today is my first grandson's birthday.  He is 15 and he is a joy indeed.

I didn't get to meet Adam until he was 8 months old.  The months before the trip out to California seemed to go on forever and I had a deep longing to see and hold him and get hugs and kisses from that sweet baby.  When I finally got ahold (that's a southern word) of him, it was such joy!  He's been lighting up our lives ever since!

He was born smiling!

A joy to have visit with us.....he loves the water and took to swimming instantly.

When he wasn't feeling well, he would snuggle with Nana.

Ever the handsome little boy

Time flew and he's grown up so much!

And learned so much.

Still that smile!

Today he is 15 years old.  I'm repeating myself because I can hardly believe how the time has gone by and all the joy he has given us over the years and look forward to seeing him grow up to be a wonderful man.

Adam has always known he wants to be an architect and is such a help at home.  He can fix most anything and is always willing to pitch in and hang pictures or towel bars, he can fix or put together whatever needs fixing or putting together.  He is handy!

Over the years, I would go out to visit him and he would come to visit his Florida family as he says.  He has lots of Florida family to see and do things with when he's here for a visit.

Adam loves to fish, swim, shoot guns safely, he loves an adventure and loves to be with Uncle David.

We will miss seeing Adam this summer and hope to see him in the fall!

Adam, you are loved!
