Unbelievable.....

that my first grandchild is 19 years old today!!

What a difference you've made in my life! I love my children with all my heart, every one of them, but there's just something about a grandchild!  The first time I saw Ashley was in the San Diego airport when she was 5 weeks old.  Her parents put her in my arms and boy there went a piece of my heart!

 The years just fast forwarded and suddenly she was sending Senior portraits.  

Then her graduation from high school!

She's so grown up now......hey, don't mess with her.....her Pappy Russell taught her to shoot!

Now you've finished your first year of college.  Have you picked a major yet?  Whatever you choose to do in life, do it well and with the help and guidance of God.  Seek His counsel in all things.

Ashley Bianca.....how do I say what you've meant and continue to mean in my life?  You've made me so thankful.....added joy abundantly.......taught me to pray more diligently for both my children and my grandchildren......well, you taught me how to be a Nana.  

You are a very special woman.....wow, that's hard to write.....my granddaughter is a woman.  But you are and what a wonderful woman you've grown to be.  

I love you, I'm proud of you, I love you......oh, I'm repeating myself.

Sometimes I just scratch my head and wonder what in the world people are thinking.....or not thinking as the case may be.

Some days I just sit and wonder if everyone has just lost their minds!  

And that's what is on MY mind......what's on yours?

And they just keep on coming.....

birthdays!.  Today we have two birthdays in our family.

One year ago on my MIL's birthday, Charley was born, both into this world and into our hearts!

It was a VERY long day, especially for his mama who did a great job with what all we mama's know is HARD!!!  They didn't just come up with the word labor for no reason!!!

Meme was patiently or not waiting.....I just realized I didn't get a picture of her with Charley that day.  She was in taking care of HER baby, Charley's mama.
