Day by day.....Friday Fragments

I don't seem to have much luck with scheduled posts, but I'm going to try again with this Friday Fragments post.  We'll see if I have to push publish tomorrow morning.

Note.....nope, it didn't publish.  I have no idea what I'm doing wrong....

But however this post gets published, please go on over to Mrs. 4444's and join in Friday Fragments.

Life seems to be flying by at the speed of light.....maybe faster!

I have lots of these pictures to show...

Please don't tell him there will be no candy at Nana's this year and that our porch light will be o.f.f.

Catch me, daddy!

Pappy's cool guy

In the shade, glasses on my head

We visited with this little one and his parents last weekend......cuteness.  Charley loves his sunglasses!  And his halloweeen monkey costume.

********************

Favorite dog shaming photo......I sleep on my daddy's pillows after he leaves for work.  It's against the rules and I know it....can't seem to help myself.

*********************

And now for my favorite photo of the week!

My mama walking!!!!

That's right....physical therapy has started and mama is up and walking for the first time in about two years!  I am over the moon......mama?  Not so much!

During this session, every time the therapist would ask mama how she was feeling, mama would say not good and I would say you feel good!!!!  You feel good!!!  Mama would cut her eyes over to the therapist and say....I think Nancy feels good!  To say mama's resistant is an understatement.  She seems content to sit without moving all day every day.  She even sleeps in her recliner which she should not do, but she's very stubborn!

My hope and prayer is that she catches the excitement of being up and on her own two feet.  Of course, when I say she's walking, she could not walk by herself.  Mama's legs have gotten weak to the point of almost being like noodles.  I just know that with enough therapy and encouragement, she just might like a little more independence.

********************

Did you watch the debates?

********************

Tonight I'm going to paint with my friend.  Not another Van Gogh this time though, a pumpkin for the Fall season!!!!  I know you'll be waiting to see my art.....and I use that term loosely.

***************

Oh, I almost forgot!!  The Superhero bought me an Ipad!  Yes, I really like it, although I haven't conquered it yet, and who am I kidding, I haven't conquered my laptop either!
While he was at the store, he called and asked what color cover I wanted.  He named over the colors and I jumped on lime green...why?  so I can find the ipad!

*************

And one last thing.....I sometimes end sentences with prepositions.  I do that on purpose....sometimes you just gotta break the rules

So stay tuned and have a great weekend!

I am such a grammaticaster, but I draw the line at ending sentences with prepositions ... it's just too hard to reword the sentence ... not to mention that most of the time, the sentence sounds so stilted. ;-)

I love those pictures of Charley ... especially the one with his sunglasses on his head. He's such a cutie!!

I'll be praying that your mama gets the "walking bug" and is able to move around on her own soon.

It is wonderful to see your mom up on two feet. She feels good...she feels good....she feels good! We CAN convince her.

No debates for us, but Pat Boone was AWESOME!!!!

Charley is just darling. He is growing up much too quickly.

I think the lime green is the perfect color for the i-pad. You will enjoy it.

That jumping pic is fantastic!

I watched the debate... enough said.

I'd love an iPad, but I mostly blog and many people say it's a pain to blog from.

So much going on in this post! The pictures are all so cute, I love seeing photos on posts. How wonderful that your mama is walking. Why haven't they done this sooner or why now? Did something change? Sorry your having issues with posting. Didn't watch the debates, I know who I'm voting for!

Loved all your pictures, and I agree that it's wonderful to see your mom walking. I commend those who get us back on our feet, especially when we just want to veg out and be lazy.

I haven't watched Charley grow, but he's sure a cutie now!

I pray that Mama will catch the excitement and start walking with her walker again!!
I did watch the debate and was thrilled and cannot wait for the next one!!

Your mom will get excited, once she gets over the fear of walking again.

The pictures are wonderful, what a cute little boy.

Enjoy your weekend!

Dear Nancy, I so enjoy these Friday ambles through your week. Yes, I did watch the debate. I am a supporter of President Obama and I wondered afterward why he didn't show up. The man I've come to respect so much simply wasn't there. Was he tired, fatigued from the job? I don't know. I only hope he prepares for the next debate.

As to your art--yes I look forward to seeing it.

I'm so thrilled for your mom. Right now the going must be tough, but when she truly can walk again, I bet that she will treasure a new independence. What a blessing you are in her life--her #1 cheerleader! Peace.

I love my iPad, reading and commenting from it now. It seems crazy, but you will enjoy it more and more.

Hubby's granny is in the same boat as your mama. It is so hard to encourage them isn't it?

Not certain how I ended up on your blog, but glad I did. First of all, I think the little monkey needs to go to a few houses just to show off the costume. And second of all, can I just say: "Hurray Momma!" She may not "feel good" right now, but it'll come. You're a good daughter! You keep it up!

...aack...not sure where my comment went, but in case it's lost in cyber space, it needs to be said that I'm praying for your Momma to get on her legs, and I pray you continue to demonstrate such patience and wisdom! There. I better not lose this comment!

Wow! I'm so happy for your mom...even if she is resistant.

And, what a cute little monkey. I love seeing kids in their costumes!

Hope you love you ipad. I got one and I am slowly learning it. I enjoy it for some things, and hopefully will enjoy it more as I learn about it!

Cute pics! Love the sunglasses and the monkey suit!

Nice to see your Mom up walking. Hope she continues to do better and better.

Oh, I watched the debates and thought Romney was fantastic! Looking forward to the one this week, as well.

Hope you have a wonderful week!

Your mama and mine...well you just described us even down to the eye rolling and what she said.
I love that doggie doing that! Our little dog is in dad's recliner at the moment and we'll have to scurry when we see headlights! haha. It isn't a house dog either :/ yikes.
Cutest little grandboy there!!!

I can see why your favorite is your Mama walking after being in a chair for so long, but the little one in his monkey costume is just too cute for words....
