If you are very quiet you can hear it.....a small sound. The sound of a family slowly splitting. There was drama, there is always drama...you just don't know it's going to lead down a dark path. You forget to drop the breadcrumbs so you can find the way back home.
Home....
Six kids, just what daddy wanted. Three boys and three girls. Mama aimed to please. Even with 18 years between the oldest and youngest, we have always been a close family. Not without problems but that family that closes rank when needed. We have closed rank and circled wagons many times over the years. We all grew up in the same home, same parents, same neighborhood. Six mostly different personalities.
This is before we had the youngest child. But that baby boy mama is holding? I got him the day before my 8th birthday. He and I had celebrated a few birthdays together. Now we aren't speaking and it breaks my heart. Someday I hope all of us are back to closing rank and being the family mama and daddy knit together.
None of us were supposed to get married young, three of us did. None of us were supposed to get divorced....2 of us have and a 3rd is in the process.
We all have children and a lot of our children have children. Some of our children have problems. Sound familiar?
Problems within families are common....we just didn't know we were not a common family. We pulled together through tragedies, death, divorce...until this one. This one broke the bank. This one put up walls that can't easily be broken.
Someday......

So nice to see you post again. I’m just sorry that things are so shattered right now. I hope you can get it sorted out as life is just too short.
Such a moving and touching post that I could relate too
Thank you for posting this! Yes, it is a heartbreaking time in our family! This brother does not speak to me either! We may get over this in time, but I am not sure....this subtle change has been going on for a long time! The only correction I have is that there is an 18 year difference between oldest and youngest❤️❤️❤️
