June has been a mixed bag of joy for our family. We started the month off with these two joys...
I've been taking a picture of them on my bed since they were little and I'm sort of bribing having to ask sweetly these days. I think they may be quite over this tradition.
They both have birthdays in June and even though they weren't here on their actual birthdays, we had a party.......cause we just love to party!
Those two bundles of joy left and a day later we got more joy! Grandson number two and his parents came for the weekend.
It was also Charley's birthday weekend so we partied some more! He got a tricycle for his birthday and here is daddy showing him how it's done.......
Next it's Charley's turn.
Charley much preferred the push rather than pedal method. Oh, and that cast? A little thing like a broken arm didn't slow him down a little bit!
This wasn't just any weekend, it was my sweet MIL's 85th birthday weekend and talk about a party!
Here is Mary Catherine with her cake which was not only beautiful but delicious!
Mary Catherine with children, Russell and Sue and their spouses....Johnny and me.
Some of our children and grandchildren.....
Some of Sue's children ......
Grandchildren Patrick and Kristen.....
And grandson Christopher

Charley and Mary Catherine have the same birthday so, the next day, we had a little birthday party for Charley.
Playing with presents with daddy and mommy....
Uncle Matt and Charley.....
The cake!
Sharing a bite with Mema....
Yesterday, the last of the company went home and today we woke up to silence again. I'm sure the sounds of children and laughter will fill our home again soon. Maybe I could get some laundry done first???
June's been a wonderful month around here and it's fast drawing to an end.
We dodged the worst of Tropical Storm Debby, but got some much needed rain.
July is closing in and it is the dreaded month I'll be turning the awful, terribly bad sixty.
I will think about that tomorrow.

60 is a good age! 65 is even better - coming up 3 months from yesterday for me! I'm getting ready to be covered by Medicare. Lots of decisions, and reams of paper coming in the mail trying to woo me.
Lots of June birthdays for you - such fun. Your MIL looks wonderful at 85.
My MIL went into full care nursing home this last week-end, and it started out kind of sketchy. But she's settling in - doesn't remember every day what is going on.
Wish I could get around to doing a post!
Yes, Scarlett...you think about that tomorrow. The sixties have been great so far. I am with Dawn. In fact we went to the same school - same class - in Nebraska, but at differnt times.
So glad to hear that the storm's wrath missed you folks. It sounded terrible.
It looks like a wonderful month of celebrations for your family. Your MIL looks terrific. (You look fabulous too with your weight loss too!)
What fun and what a lovely family with much to celebrate! These are great times to be savored. Love the photos, and everyone looks great, including Mary Catherine!! Great genes in your family and Happy Birthday to everyone!
60? Don't give it a single negative thought, just let the partying continue!! It's not so bad.
I'll turn 61 this Summer! I'm just glad I Made it this far!Hahaaaa...
Your MIL does NOT look her age! Very pretty lady!
hughugs
60 is not so bad (I reached that milestone last year).
Wow, June is a month chock full of birthdays in your family! Birthdays in my family are spaced out nicely. About the time we need a party, someone's having a birthday. ;-)
Glad you were able to miss the worst of Debby ... it sounds like a good part of Florida is really suffering the effects. We could definitely use some rain here ... not quite that much, though. ;-)
Well as my daughter Meaghan would say You have a very fortunate looking family lol..
I'm glad you had fun and things are starting to settle down a bit.. Company is always great but the quiet after the little hurricanes can be refreshing too. :)

Your family is beautiful.... And so is 60 ;-)
Chrissy
beautiful family....
It's better to be "you know what" than to be down under so to speak!!! Take it from someone who has been there, done that, but I'm not saying I love it!
Sounds like the most perfect month ever. So glad you had such a nice time with your grandchildren visiting.
It just seems like yesterday that I was turning 60 and here I am already 66! It wasn't so bad. You sure don't look old enough to be almost 60! You have a lovely family...Happy Birthday to all who turned another year older this month!
