Instead of.....

Instead of doing what I really need to be doing this morning, I think I'll just stop and FRAG!  There are so many little fragments floating around in my head that even a fragmented post may not make sense!  But if you happen to have a few random thoughts rambling about in your head, join in with Claudya from the Unknown Mami and unload them here!

After unloading, go over and link up to join the party!

Speaking of parties!  I'll tell you about a great one I'm planning.  I have been moping about the past week or four and this morning I read this "being quite the hostess myself, I throw pity parties fairly regularly!"  Joanna Weaver.....Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World.  I read this to the Superhero who laughed out loud and agreed that the quote describes me perfectly.  He even offered to buy the favors!
Perhaps I need to count my blessings???

In other news......the sun is shining!

I know many are experiencing drought conditions and I'm so sorry, but it has almost rained our entire summer and the ground is soaked.....I'm not a gardener by any stretch of the imagination on a good day, but my sister brought my some amaryllis bulbs and I had to plant them with little scuba diving suits on so they wouldn't drown!
In other words, thank you Lord for this sunshine!!

I am having company starting next week.....so in a spurt of very unlike me, oh, I had better get some stuff done....energy, I now have in the freezer two gallons of spaghetti sauce, two pans of chicken enchiladas, about thirty twice baked potatoes and eighteen hamburger patties.  The Superhero is pretty sure I've lost my mind, but he's happy we're having company because I'm cooking!  I'm surprised he doesn't hire someone to visit often so I'll cook more!  All I have to say is, he shouldn't have spoiled me!

Here's one for the road....
Heard around here..
Me...I took six bags of stuff to Goodwill today.
The Superhero....did you get a receipt?
Me....what do you think?
The Superhero....SIGH!

And speaking of getting things done, I really must go now and get something done.....have a wonderful weekend and as I always say...

Keep your chin up, even if you have to hold it that way!

Way to go on the cooking for company.
It's amazing what we can get done when company is coming!

I love your Dory award!

Yep company is about the only thing that motivates me to cook and/or clean.

Very fun frags as usual!!!! Now that your head is cleared of frags maybe you'll get all those little chores done in nothing flat.

Got an extra place setting for another guest? All that food sounds so heavenly.

I do the "Goodwill Thing" twice a year. It makes me feel good to get rid of the clutter and hopefully help someone else out in need.

Forget the chores, just take it easy before the company shows up. You'll have fun.

I'm on a plane right now and you made me super hungry for all the food you've made. Lucky guests.

Little scuba diving suits. That's a good one. Sounds like you're having a LOT of company with all that food. Take some time to just relax. I bet you are a great hostess.

It seems to be a summer of extremes all across the country. Wish you could send us a little rain ... give you some respite.

I, too, only seem to really cook and clean when we've got company coming. Since that doesn't happen too often, that means my house could stand a good housecleaning. Tidying up and a little work on the more obvious stuff that even I can't ignore is about all I do normally. ;-)

I read the pity party quote to Lawn Boy and he laughed... I think it might just apply to me too.

You surely know how to cook for company!

It's rained so much here this summer it's hard to believe there is a drought anywhere!

Getting things done--what's that? LOL I'm glad we are not having company because the cooking bug is not with me at this time. :) Pity parties- my husband is the king of those!

Wow. All that food! What a great idea so you won't be stressed while company is there. I loved these frags - so funny! We finally go rain so we're super happy about that around here. Lots and lots of loverly rain!!

I think you are having a very good week! I must admit to being the same with company, I can really get going in the kitchen - even when the kids come home for the weekend, I start to bake up a storm.....spaghetti sauce sounds good!

I love the pity party and Goodwill conversations! Those could happen in my home.

Enjoy the rain!

Dear Nancy, with all that food in the freezer, you surely provided your guests with sumptuous meals! I'm hoping that you are having a few days when the sun visits and stays awhile.

I've been away from the blogging world for some time, but this week I posted for the first time in 8 weeks and now I'm visiting blogs and it's good to come and find your random thoughts which always show that you are involved deeply in life. Peace.
