In between......

When I'm talking to people about being divorced, I ALWAYS warn remind them that when you have children and are divorced, you will share those children for a lifetime.

Well, that also goes for grandchildren.  Have you figured it out yet?  Ashley and Adam are with their grandfather and his family for a few days and I miss them like crazy!  Please don't get me wrong......I really want them to spend time with all of their Florida family, I just wish that didn't mean we were separated during those times.  Ah, as my grandmother always said "if wishes were horses, we'd all be a riding"......

Enough whining.....these are a few of the moments that I miss.  These while I'm in between....

Lounging

Posing

Gathering

Talking.....the cook is tired!

Horsing around

Loving

Going to church

And lots of other stuff!

We'll have lots more fun when they get back to Nana's house and they're having lots of fun at Grandpa's house.  So look forward to more fun pictures!

I'll bet you are really missing all of the fun. It is a good warning as I don't think that people realize the magnitude of the divorce.

You know I never thought of it from a grandparents perspective. My parents divorced and it was hard because it was a bitter divorce. Our grandparents probably suffered from it and as a child I didn't realize it.
Your family photos are very cute!

Lovely family! I know what you mean, though, about the here and there. Don and I have been married almost 41 years, nut have divorced kids. With the grands bouncing back and forth between parents...HEAVY sigh! Glad you have gotten to see them though! That is always a joy!

I bet the quiet is deafening!
Take some "me" time while they're away and then they'll be home before you know it!

Dear Nancy, divorce, I suspect--having never been either married or divorce--has many hidden pains and quagmires. And it would seem that your posting today revealed at least one of those--children and grandchildren being elsewhere and the house sounding loud with silence. Be good to yourself.

Peace.

I can't wait to be a grandma and hope I have some energy left then since we got started later in life.

Aw, too bad. But, that's the way of the world these days, isn't it? Just save up all those fun ideas and do them when they get back!

I love the pics on the beach! They are beautiful children and I know you are so proud of them! So, glad they can be with y'all for a while!
