The sound of silence....

You grow used to whatever sounds are in your home.....laughter or music.....the sound of voices you love in the background as you drift off to sleep or wake.  This morning, I woke up to silence.

Ashley flew away home yesterday and got safely to the beautiful San Diego and it's quiet around here!  Really quiet.

But no worries, more company is on the way!  Grandson Charley and his parents will be here tomorrow today.......I didn't finish this yesterday.....for a big birthday weekend for my MIL and Charley.  So maybe I'll savor the silence a little while then prepare for the laughter and loving sounds of my next visitors!

More later!  Have a great weekend all!

A little silence is wonderful ... as long as it's only for a little while. ;-)

Having a full house all the time, silence is welcomed anytime. But I have to say, when it comes, it is odd.

Well at least you don't have too much time to miss her since you will be busy again. Enjoy!

Aww....I'm sure you will miss those friendly sounds, but I am glad that the empty space will quickly be filled.

I like the short haircut!

Dear Nancy, I'm glad your grandson wants to visit. That says so much about the kind of grandmother you are.
Peace.

I don't like a quiet house. That's why I have an in-home child care. I can listen to the pitter patter of little feet all day. Then have a quiet house at night. :-)
