The Weekend

Talk about a busy weekend! Whew! Of course, I'm totally panicked about packing to fly to California Tuesday. TUESDAY! I just can't believe I'll be leaving so soon. I'm horrible at packing so I've been in a stew!

These two are in town for a friend's wedding....

which made it a great time to have MIL's birthday dinner!

Even my mother came! She doesn't get out much because her arms hurt so badly. Speaking of arms, don't you think someone could have said "Put your flabby arms down!"? I'm just thankful I didn't have a flag painted on them! Good reason not to get tattoos girls! Believe me, your arms will flab too one day.

We had a great dinner and birthday cake and ice cream was the icing on the night. We even convinced Uncle Hugh to come! He looks like he's praying, I think he's just shy! :)

So Happy Birthday Mom, Mema, Mary Catherine! We really missed my FIL tonight.

you do not have flabby arms!!! that made me laugh, though, because i always referred to my grandmother's as "comfortable arms". :) i LOVED to cuddle up with her on the couch and lay right on her comfortable arms. :) we still laugh about that when i see her.

YOU DO NOT have flabby arms! I can show you some flabby arms. Your-notta! And BTW- I LOOOOVVVVEEEE your hair. It looks great. It has grwon out from your profile pic. Gorgeous. I wish my hair would look like yours-and get darker with age. I am the opposite. I am 37 and if I didnt color mine would be over 50% grey.

Happy BIrthday to MIL, the party looks fun! I love that even the dog got into the shot.

Have a safe trip!

What flabby arms? You are fine ...just fine! I think you look great!

So glad you could all celebrate together...even though I know it was bittersweet without you FIL. He was watching, though, I bet!

Have a great trip! Godspeed!

Thank you all so much for saying I don't have flabby arms! However, I must suggest you see your Optometrist immediately! :)

Leigh.....My hair has grown out since that picture....problem is that I can't figure out how to change it! I am actually the dumbest person on blogger! I know I've changed it before, so I don't know why I can't now. Oh, well. I cut my hair that short when I decided to let it grow to it's natural color. I knew I couldn't stand the "two tone" thing....so I just cut it short enough so that the color was only on the tips. Then it just took forever to grow it back out!

I got a chuckle out of this! I stopped wearing sleeveless shirts because of my flabby arms but it looks like I'm going to have to stop wearing even short sleeves because apparently after a certain point flabby arms run down to the elbow!
Happy Birthday to your MIL.
