We are on our way home. Oh, the bliss that word home holds for me tonight. We are once again parked at a welcome center. I know, I know.....you are all jealous.....maybe if you are real good, one day you too will get to spend the night parked at a welcome center in Louisiana...REAL GOOD!
Today is Russell's dad's birthday and the six month anniversary of his death. We traveled with Russell's parents many times and about 5 o'clock he would rub his hands together and say it's wine time. He loved a good glass of wine before his dinner....so today, right about 5 o'clock...I poured Russell and myself a glass of wine and we fondly remembered his dad.
Tomorrow, or maybe Sunday, Monday or Tuesday....whenever I get everything out of the motor home, washed, back in the motor home and clean just like it's home, I'll get a few pictures on and a real post about our adventures in service land.
But for now, I'll just say I'm beat from sleeping in the passenger seat all day, so goodnite to all!

I'd say camping in a Welcome Center parking lot is better than doing so in a Wal-Mart parking lot. I heard a story on NPR that many retired folks who now camp at night in Wal-Mart Parking lots because the price of gas is too high.
Glad you are near home. Fun to travel, but great to get back home!
Don't envy you the welcome center location, though! :)
People parked in our Wal Mart long before the gas went up - they seem to prefer it for some reason!
Glad you're getting home. There's no place like it! Wherever it is.
It's always nice to go away - anywhere! - but even better to come home. Be sure to come back and see more photos of my few days away. I think you'll like them because the scenery is so different from where you live - at least from what I know...
