My favorite Christmas decoration

This ornament tree is one of my favorite ways to decorate at Christmas. Each year since DH and I started dating and every anniversary since our marriage, I have given myself him one of these crystal ornaments. Each year as I take them out of the box and place them on this ornament tree, I say a prayer of thanksgiving for another year with DH.

I try to remember the high points of each year....but really, since I can't remember what happened 10 minutes ago, that's getting harder each year.

I like my decorations to be meaningful and this ornament tree with each ornament is very special and meaningful to me, and even though I resisted the decorating this year, I'm glad this tree is up and sparkling!

You could see the ornaments a lot better if I hadn't put the little trees around it, but I don't have time to go back and take another picture right now!

And (I know you're not supposed to start a sentence with and) since it's a small miracle that I can even post pictures at this point, I'm just grateful. I still haven't found most of my blog, but I don't mind, really. :(

As a writing teacher, I can tell you that you MAY begin a sentence with "and" as long as the words following comprise a proper sentence. And it did...

I love your tree and the sentiment behind it. I might just get the chance to do that myself. Things are going very well so far, and even though we "say" we're taking it slow, it seems that we want to be with each other all the time. And I probably do have a glow about myself - I know he does about himself. And you know, I'm finding out all sorts of things about him that I never knew even before when we were engaged! Nancy, he is just so sweet to me but...he doesn't want to go to church. He doesn't mind me going, and I don't want to force him so I'll just have to lead by example I guess. Any suggestions?

Sorry for all the trouble you are having with the blog!

Thanks Tonja. I have been considering emailing one of those people who make blog designs but I don't know if they can FIX blogs, I would assume maybe so?? I just don't understand how buttons or tabs or whatever can just disappear!

Don't you just love the crystal ornaments? They pick up the pretty lights so nicely.

What a beautiful tree, and wonderful tradition.

I just opened my laptop and found that everything on my favorites has disappeared - it changed my home page from MSN to Google - I don't get it!!!

I just had a thought about your tabs disappearing - - - are you logged in to blogger? Without being logged in none of your tabs will appear.

Hey girl - - - I went in your archives to find those pictures you took of your camping trip to the beach last June and guess what????? All your widgets and gadgets and "things" are STILL IN THE RIGHT PLACE in the archives!!!!! Stranger than strange.

It seems that I can do the strangest things, Keetha! Do you think that means I'm talented!?????

Hi Nancy,
The ornament tree tradition is so sweet! Your DH is one licky fella. As for your blog, a similar thing happened to me once when I wrote a post and got a "script error" message. I chose the option of ignoring it but my layout was messed up after that. If you go back to the post when it first happened and save it to draft, then you'll know that post is the problem. The other option is to reload your layout, as you said, so it's very odd that the layout tab isn't showing.
Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas!
Holley
