Mother's Day 2009

**** UPDATE

Leslie says she didn't know that I have grandchildren!!! Oh, Leslie, I could go on and on for hours about my sweet grandchildren....but since you don't have all night, I have Ashley who will soon be 17 and Adam who will soon be 13, Angelina who is 3!

This is Angelina! She's a doll and talks like nobody's business!

This is Adam, me and Ashley! It is almost impossible to believe that Ashley will be a senior next year!

What a wonderful day Mother's day 2009 has been! All my children either sent cards or called me. After a great day at Sunday School and Church, we picked up my MIL and drove over to Destin for the day.

Mama had my sister and her husband, son and MIL and two of my brothers for lunch so I know she had a good day.

I just have to tell you that my mama is just the greatest and I have lots of her in me. Like the tendency to have clutter! Just kidding mama! Thanks for giving me life and then teaching me how to live it!

This is my MIL and I several years ago when we were both younger and I was skinnier. I just couldn't have gotten a better MIL. She's sweet and kind and raised one great son! Besides that, she makes me look tall! :)

I was already on cloud 9 after hearing from all the children, and two of my sweet surrogate daughters.

But after a great day of shopping in Destin, then eating at our favorite Mexican restaurant, I had a message from the grands!

The message went something like this Hey Nana, we just wanted to say Merry......I mean happy Mother's day! We are sending the card soon! I love you.

That was just the icing on the cake. So now we're home, full and tired. I'm putting on my pajamas and getting into my bed!

I hope you all had a wonderful mother's day too and that God blesses us with many more!

I of course knew you have the two teen grands, but didn't know about Angelina - what a dollie!

I'm glad you had such a good day - I did, too, though it wasn't all because of Mother's Day. We had a b-day party for Feisty, who will be 5 on Tuesday.

I'm so glad you had a great day, sounds wonderful. And your grandchildren are beautiful and their Nana ain't bad either :)

We had a good day here. I wish it had been better for the kids but my sysmptoms and muscle pain and spasms are back and it's been really hard to have a normal day. I'm calling a different Nero doctor tomorrow, the one my mom goes to, and I'm hoping and praying he will see me without insurance. I don"t want to go back to the other doctor on Friday but I don't want to just be left without a doctor.

Anyway, we will see and I'll keep you posted.
Happy Mother's Night :)

Loved hearing about your Mother's Day and how special your mom and mother-in-law are to you!! Just reading it made me really want to blog about Mother's Day myself and the blessing it was to me to be honored, but also to really have my thoughts evaluating how I mother, why I mother...etc. Good stuff. God is so good!
