What happened to the weekend???

I went straight from Friday to Tuesday! Well, not really, I know those days were there in between but they sure did go fast.

Saturday, there was a bridal shower for a sweet young lady in our church. Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera. I was going to link you to her sister's blog, but I see she hasn't posted about the shower! It was a great shower with lots of people, fun and food.....oh, yea, and presents!

One Sunday a month, Russell and I have Church nursery duty! We really do enjoy it and it's a great way to get to know the kids and their parents......which at our advanced ages, we might not meet the young folks otherwise!

Anyhow, all children love Russell...ALL! They tolerate me, but love him. I think he has a Pied Piper quality and he's just plain good with small children. As you can see in this picture, he gets down on their level. You will usually find these two sweet twin sisters sitting in his lap with him reading a book to them.

When they were first old enough to talk and we would ask them who we were they would say Grandpa or Grandma! Mr. Russell has been training them to say his name, but not mine. Last Sunday they told him they were tired and asked to be put in the play pen pack N play. While he was leaning down talking to them, one of them asked (about me) Mr. Russell, who's your girl? Ah, isn't that just too sweet???

We're privileged to spend time with all the little ones that pass through the nursery on their way to big church.

Monday, I had a massage....now please don't think I just have this life of leisure, I get them because I have neck problems.....stress.....??? Anyway, if you ever need a good massage therapist, call or email me, mine's the best...she can unknot, is that even a word?, your poor tired muscles!

I was especially tied in knots, because I spilled my whole cup of coffee in my bed that morning. My sweet prince brings me coffee and the paper in bed! So....of course, I had to strip the bed down to the mattress and wash the already clean except for coffee sheets along with the rest of the week's wash. But, I'm o.k. with that. I love washing clothes.....that was a poor attempt at a joke!

We left my car at the shop last night to have some air conditioner and other issues worked on, so I got up early and took Russell to work. Since, I was up, I rode my bike to the walking park and walked a few rounds with some of the girls from church. That was nice and when you walk with someone, it goes much faster and is fun too!

After that, I had a nice visit from son #2 and even scrambled him some eggs. SHHHH!!! Don't repeat that because I never cook breakfast!

Well, now I'm off to fix supper.

Hey can your massage therapist come to KY? :)

And you are never to old to learn new tricks, not that you are old, I'm just saying.

If you would like a button I would be happy to make one for you.

All I do is stay in bed and it would keep me busy and take my mind off other things.
you can email me at
kieshaq423@yahoo.com if you want to talk about it.

Hope you are having a great day.

I absolutely love that picture of Mr. Russell down on the floor with the twins - how old are they? That is a great idea to have seniors in the nursery - maybe I'll suggest that. Except I don't want to be one of them! I have too many kids with me all the time!

I enjoy working with preschoolers since my kids are older (pre-teen and teenager). The little ones can say the sweetest and funniest things! (At least they don't give me that eye roll!) Although, my kids enjoy hearing my preschool stories.

How fun to have the interaction with the kids. That's a wonderful idea.

My hubby always brings me my coffee and paper in bed too. I have mine all set up on a tray (in case I spill) the night before. Aren't we lucky? Then we chat while he gets ready for work.
