Today is Papa's 82nd birthday! The miraculous thing, and the great tribute to our mighty God, is that one year ago today he was diagnosed with lung cancer. The doctor's gave him a short time to live....That day in the motel room, we talked about the fact that God has our days numbered and when He is ready He will take us home, but no person doctor or otherwise, can know that time. So many prayers have gone up for him.....his oncologist finally admitted that prayer was what was working, as he was shaking his head.
Some ask the question, then why does God let some stay longer and take some even when both are being prayed for. Well, I guess I'd have to ask God that question. Deuteronomy 29:29 says this about that....."The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law." There are just some things we will not know...
So Happy Birthday Papa.....breathe easy today! We love you!
